RIP Katsulas.
ps. Do osobnego docenienia, że Sheridan i Delenn znają, w przeciwieństwie do Archera, Kirka z STC i admiralicji z ORV, prawo azylu.
Wypowiedź Quarka o ludziach w kontekście zabrania nam wygód jest najbardziej babylonową wypowiedzią chyba w całym ST.
Poza Quarkiem jednak Dukat też jest zniuansowany. Najlepiej napisany villain w historii SF.
ładnie współgra ze słowami Londo z "In the Beginning"*:
Londo Mollari: The War. The humans, I think, knew they were doomed. Where another race would surrender to despair, the humans fought back with greater strength. They made the Minbari fight for every inch of space. In my life, I have never seen anything like it; They would weep, they would pray, they would say goodbye to their loved ones, and then throw themselves without fear or hesitation at the very face of death itself, never surrendering. No one who saw them fighting against the inevitable could help but be moved to tears by their courage. Their stubborn nobility. When they ran out of ships, they used guns, when they ran out guns they used knives and sticks and bare hands. They were magnificent. I only hope that when it is my time, I may die with half as much dignity as I saw in their eyes in the end. They did this for two years they never ran out of courage but in the end, they ran out of time.
James T. Kirk: All right. It's instinctive. But the instinct can be fought. We're human beings with the blood of a million savage years on our hands, but we can stop it. We can admit that we're killers, but we're not going to kill today. That's all it takes. Knowing that we won't kill today.
I znowu pokrewieństwo do DS9.
https://babylon5.fandom.com/wiki/David_Sheridan_II
*** https://twitter.com/search?q=Zathras
ps. Tymczasem wrzuciłem na czołowe strony z recenzjami ST jednobrzmiący komentarz:
I think that "Journey to Babel"/this episode was MAJOR inspiration, or self-inspiration (you know, D.C. Fontana in both teams) for Babylon 5:
Babel -> Babylon station
Vulcans -> Minbari (both stoic and monk-like)
Tellarites -> Centauri (both arrogant and doing illegal things)
Andorians -> Narn (both violent, in medieval looking clothes)
Kirk + three ambassadors -> Sheridan + three ambassadors too
Starfleet -> WhiteStar fleet (in very Garth's-like uniforms*)
UFP -> IA
* Ok, that's from another episode of TOS, like:
Medusans -> Vorlon (both hidding themselves)
And we also have (that's from TNG):
Betazoids -> Byron's telepaths
Martian Independence Declaration -> Martian struggle for independence
Galen - archeology professor -> Galen - technomage and archeologist
I dare to say that B5 is unofficial TOS prequel (better than ENT), like AND and ORV are unofficial TNG/DS9/VGR sequels.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27712788/
https://babylon5.fandom.com/wiki/Babylon_5:_The_Road_Home
"Parallels" (Bragi dziecko) to 29 listopada 1993. Nadto w w/w pierwszosezonowym odcinku B5 mamy w zasadzie zwykłą anomalię czasoprzestrzenną (w stylu - bo ja wiem? - TNG-owskiego "Cause and Effect"), skoczenie Sinclaira ze stacją to dopiero "War Without End, Part II" a więc 20 maja 1996 ("The Visitor" wszedł na ekrany wcześniej, 9 października 1995). Oczywiście, znając skłonność Straczynskiego do planowania z wyprzedzeniem, można pytać kiedy który wątek został napisany...
Pierwotnie stacja B4 miała skoczyć w przód do piątego albo szóstego sezonu i zastąpić Babylon 5 w roli głównej stacji.
For those who have been waiting for more information on the #B5AnimatedMovie, the final update will come in mid-June not just here but to the public at large. It will have the release date, plot summary, A TRAILER, how/where to watch/obtain it, and other cool stuff.

Ale, w świetle naukowych zainteresowań Straczynskiego:
Okay, so I don't have enough background in science of any form, let alone physics, to put forth a credible opinion about anydamnthing, but I did have a thought, and I wanted to pass it along to see if anyone else picks it up. By now it looks solid certain that the --

Anyway, just a casual thought. Prepared for those who actually know this stuff to tell me I'm full of it.
— J. Michael Straczynski (@straczynski) May 14, 2023
(So in that photo, rather than one point of energy transfer, imagine also millions of paths of energy like strands of hair between the two sides as energy from one is pumped into the other.)

Traktowanych jednak przez niego samego z iście Trekowym luzem:
Yes, a cycle that leads inevitably, and in accordance all the laws of thermodynamics, to the creation of the cheeseburger. https://t.co/IjyBq7ysDw
— J. Michael Straczynski (@straczynski) May 14, 2023
Annoyed to see so much convenient writing in movies lately. The writing process is supposed to be hard on the writer to make it easy on the audience, not easy on the writer making it hard on the audience. Sloppy and inconsistent storytelling serves no purpose.
— J. Michael Straczynski (@straczynski) May 15, 2023
Writing at its core is about asking the next logical question, and going with the most honest answer, not the answer that's less honest but simpler to write. Because an audience/reader will feel that lack of honesty, whether character- or logic-based. https://t.co/iQoUsWyQWV
— J. Michael Straczynski (@straczynski) May 15, 2023
Jestem pewien, że będzie warto.
